I have to say, I like your analysis here except I’m not totally buying the theory that because EPL is so rough and tumble, new players fall easier. A light touch is a light touch whether it be from a seasoned EPL player or a new player coming in from another continent.
I’m from California and I watch Galaxy play (ok ya ya make fun of MLS go ahead), and yes the level of competition is a bit of a drop off from epl, HOWEVER, you rarely, if ever, see diving from US players at home or playing epl.
I you’st to watch football almost everyday, now I hardly ever watch it, mainly because of what u said, a little fairy touch and 90% of players will hit the deck, I watch alot of American football now, ya don’t see any diving in that sport!
Agreed, I believe they concentrate all the Diving hype on Luis Suarez when others are doing it just as much… saying no names but you probably know who
i believe diving has no place in the league but it we never leave us. diving is a part of football and am afraid its here to stay. what gets my back up is people singlling out Luis for diving, the media with hide line news on Suarez diving, when other players do not get the seem treatment. am sorry but Luis can not win if he his hacked down he doesn’t win a pen and if he dives he doesn’t win a pen. reputation should not come in to it. ronaldo had a massive reputation and still won pen after pen
