Neymar confident on Luis for recovering Scoring touch
Barcelona superstar Neymar says that he is confident star striker Luis Suarez will rediscover his scoring touch.
Suarez has struggled for goals since moving to Barcelona in a £ 70 million deal from Liverpool in the summer. After scoring only two league goals in 12 appearances in the Spanish league, questions have been asked about Suarez’ viability has the top goal scorer at the Catalan club. Luis Enrique has had to fend off many questions about the 28-year-old’s form. Even though Suarez has struggled in the league, he has scored two goals in three Champions League matches for the Spanish outfit.
Neymar, who has been in impressive goal scoring form during the first half of the season, says that Suarez will eventually discover his scoring touch and he is struggling right now because of the settling in period. Barcelona play a high tempo game just like Liverpool, but their formation is hugely different with more focus on Lionel Messi.
The Argentine superstar has been in amongst the goals in the last few weeks and this is only likely to make the work harder for Suarez to get back to form. Neymar also says that he is not experienced enough to teach Suarez to score goals. The Brazilian is just starting out in his career while Suarez is at the peak.
“Am I giving advice to Suarez? He’s older and more experienced than I am. It is Suarez who should give advice to me.Anyway, Luis helps the team with his goals, with passes, with everything. It is an honour to be playing in the same team as him. Are we the best attacking trident in the world? I don’t know. But we do seem to be causing a lot of problems for opposing defences,” said Neymar. Barcelona have scored 10 fewer goals than Real Madrid this season.
